Welcome to Nicos - Ballybrakes Rd, a hidden gem nestled within the charming Ballybrakes Business Park in Ballymoney, United Kingdom. With its warm and inviting atmosphere, this eatery has quickly become a go-to spot for both locals and visitors. Located at 9a Ballybrakes Rd, Nicos offers a delightful escape from the ordinary, where exceptional food and friendly service come together to create an unforgettable dining experience.
One of the standout features of Nicos is its mouthwatering menu, which boasts a variety of delectable dishes. The star of the show, according to rave reviews, is their hot honey chicken burger. Patrons like Aisling B have declared it one of the best burgers they've ever had, thanks to its perfect blend of flavors and textures. The burger is just a glimpse into the culinary artistry at Nicos, where every dish is crafted with care and attention to detail.
The atmosphere at Nicos is equally noteworthy. Guests frequently describe it as warm and homely, a comforting space that feels more like visiting a friend's dining room than a typical restaurant. This sentiment is echoed in customer experiences, like those shared by Lewis Haire and Louise Patton, who praised the friendly staff and quick service, making each visit a pleasant adventure.
What truly sets Nicos apart is its commitment to quality and satisfaction. Donna Barrie’s experience reflects this, with her children relishing their meals and the melt-in-your-mouth roast beef dinner that left her thoroughly impressed. Perhaps what’s even more inviting is the homemade dessert selection, including gluten-free options that cater to various dietary needs, ensuring everyone leaves satisfied.
While Nicos does have a cash-only policy, their willingness to accommodate via internet bank transfer (no credit cards, please) speaks volumes about their customer-centric approach. Sarah McC’s enthusiastic review captures the essence of Nicos perfectly: fantastic food, delightful staff, and a lovely venue that surprises with its delightful offerings.
In summary, Nicos - Ballybrakes Rd is not just a restaurant; it’s an experience that combines great food with an inviting atmosphere and genuine hospitality. Whether you're a local or just passing through, make sure to stop by this culinary haven. You won't just find good food—you'll find a place that feels like home.
“ Quite quiet, but got the hot honey chicken burger and was one of the best burgers I’ve ever had. Waitress was very kind and upbeat. ”
“ A hidden gem!!!!! The food is amazing and as well the staff are friendly and were quick to bring us our food. The atmosphere is warm and homely and too and it’s well worth the money. I’ll definitely be back again. ”
“ Glad to find this wee hidden gem lastnight. We were starving when we came off the stage at circuit of Ireland rally at 7:30pm , had a look on google so i rung to see if we could get a table for 5people was great to hear last orders were 8pm, don't let the location put you off we did think directions were wrong but wow the interior was lovely and warm/clean, pleasant smell not like a restaurant at all. And the food, was delicious if you left there hungry then you only ordered coffee. We all thought we wouldn't be able to finish, clean plates all around. We were too full for dessert but they looked lovely and we're homemade. They even have gluten free desserts. I can't remember what mine was called, was pan fried chicken on potatoes with gravy & some kind of onions ( see photo) ”
“ Fantastic food, nicest of staff, and a lovely venue. Must admit I wasn't expecting it as it was in the middle of a business park. Kids ate their kids' meals and got an ice cream or cookie with their meal so were delighted! Worth nothing that Nicos only take cash but will accept an Internet bank transfer- no credit cards taken. We will be back! ”
“ Me and my two boys had our 1st experience of coming to this restaurant and it's safe to say it definitely wasn't a bad choice, the service was absolutely fantastic the food was absolutely fantastic aswell. I had the Roast Beef dinner the Beef literally melted in my mouth, the boys had Chicken Goujons 1 with Garlic Fries & Onion rings. The other with just fries & both plates were practically cleared, me & my son had pudding which again was fantastic & we are now all full. If anyone comes out saying they're hungry after their meal needs their heads wobbled me and my boys will definitely will be back ”
“ Got in contact with Nicola to organise a baby shower for my daughter. Got a date, and everything was organised via messenger. Brilliant. Meant I didn't have to travel to Ballymoney everytime I had questions. Day arrived and we got in during breakfast to decorate the room. This wasn't an issue. Girls at the counter couldn't be more helpful. Guests arrived and shortly after so did the food. Everything we had planned for was there. Even a separate plate made up for for mum to be. Nicola kept popping in to make sure every one was happy and that there was enough food. I couldn't have asked for anything more. Nicola and the girls went above and beyond to make this day run smoothly. If you want a hassle free place to hold a hassle free day, Definitely go to Nicos. 5 stars to everyone involved. Only down side that I could say was Nicola and her girls didn't get any cake, busy people but still took time to check in with us ”
“ Called in for a bite to eat on Sunday. Me and my Wife both got the panini with soup of the day which also came with a salad and coleslaw. Food was delicious and service was great. Would recommend to anyone. ”
“ This wee spot was hard to find, but oh my goodness, it didn’t disappoint!....the nicest ever garlic mushrooms and garlic cubes I’ve ever had... just look at the garlic oozing from those potatoes!.... And the “secret recipe”salad dressing was delicious, who’d have known that this unusual choice of ingredient could enhance a salad... Staff are so friendly and my Sister and I even had the owner come and ask us if we enjoyed our food, we will definitely be back. It was definitely worth the trip from Belfast!! ”
